Hey all, I've been here a few months and as much as I like it, I feel I need to cut down on my spending for now as we're moving home. I would like to move the blogs I have hoste

Wordpress.com will not allow you to place affiliate links on their site. (someone correct me if this has changed) What you can do is set up hosting with someone else like HostGator or BlueHost and move your blogs there. You can always download the data to your own computer.

You might want to re-think unsubscribing to WA to cut costs. I did that once back in 2011 and felt like I had cut off my life-line. I was back within two days and found another way to cut costs.

We have the best value in training and support here of anywhere on the net. When things change that affect our ability to earn with current practices, we are notified.

If you want to move your blog for any reason, you may. It belongs to you.

I wish you well. Take care.

The following was on the WP Forum following a request for affiliate link plugins. -

"No plugins are available on WordPress.com ..........."

"......... To do something like that you have to purchase your own domain and hosting and set up a WordPress.org website where you'll be able to install the plugins you want to use."

Good call teacup!

I think I've seen something where you can transfer to another host. On your site look under Tools - Export

That tool allows you to export all the data on your site to a file on your computer. It does not save themes, settings, plugins, pictures (I don't think) but it is an easy way to save your content. When you have another site you want to upload the content to you just use the import tool on that site and upload that file.

Yes I would be surprised if it would export with all the plugins etc.
It could be quite time consuming resetting everything.
However if you definitely want it hosted on another site then I expect it's better to do it before the site grows a lot.
