February Goal Report
Hey there and welcome to my first monthly goals post!
Goal setting is an important aspect of improving both your efficiency and your life. I am not new to goal setting but I don’t really keep myself accountable for them!
In these posts I will be sharing my goals with all of you! Hopefully you’ll see an improvement month by month, what I did well and what I did not so well.
And with that, here are last month’s goals and how I did!
February Goals
1. Work out Monthly Budgets and Stick to Them. FAILED
Although I DID work out some budgets, sticking to them didn’t happen! I feel that part of this was a complete lifestyle change involving buying new foods.
2. Write 10 Blog Posts for Taxidermyblog.co.uk. FAILED
I only wrote two! I feel this goal was probably too large for myself as a busy person and beginner blogger. This month I’m setting blog goals weekly instead, to break things down a bit.
3. Do Japanese 3 Times a week. FAILED
Although I did do some of my Japanese lessons, I didn’t do it nearly as much as I wanted to. Again I’m going to add this to my weekly planner and be specific about which parts of my course I will be working on, on that particular day.
4. Make £600 This Month. SUCCESS!
Before fees, bills and everything that leeches my income, I made £723.55 this month! I’m pretty sure I can make more if I really stick at it!
5. Register as Self-Employed. FAILED
I did plan to register as self-employed this month but a lot of things came up and my money was in the red. I think I will only do this once I know I can support myself and/or my partner gets a job. Right now he’s in college so hopefully after that he can add a bit of income to our household ![]()
6. Walk 3/4 Times a Week. SUCCESS!
I did walk almost every day – albeit any time from 10-30 minutes. I realize now that this goal was not specific enough and I’ll make it more to the point for next month’s goals.
7. Purchase New Camera. SUCCESS!
My camera was damaged due to water damage and I rely heavily on it for business purposes. I managed to snatch a Nikon Coolpix for cheap on Ebay!
8. Lose 4lbs or More. SUCCESS!
I lost 7lbs this month! I switched to the paleo diet near the end of the month and in one week lost 7lbs. I think it’s probably water weight coming off but I am still very happy about that ![]()
9. Plan and Create Competition Pieces for Taxidermy Conference. FAILED
I failed this because I ended up pulling out of the conference due to financial reasons and having a large bill to pay!
10. Create a Rack for the Snakes. FAILED
Due to time and money, I failed this goal also
Hopefully I can try and get it together in March!

Congrats on the successes! And on the accountability. Breaking goals down into smaller specifics (like #'s 6 & 9) make it easier to achieve them.
Blogging Goal Tip: Make creating a list of blog post topics one of your goals. Brainstorm for a bit and you might even end up with an entire series of potential posts. Then you can set a separate goal for writing an actual post later in the week.
