Day 2 Progress - Starting Over With My Chosen Niche

So, it's day 2 and I want to make this work. I'm here to learn, I'm here to earn and I want to learn all about the SEO and sales component of the online world.

During the initial exercises, my first chosen niche was the 'Virtual Reality' niche and I began researching the affiliate programs that were available and I found very few. I found one for 'Leap Motion' (one of the products I was hoping to promote) and I found some promoting 3D training or 3D online courses but not really the kind of affiliate programs I was looking for (despite Kyle's instance that every product has affiliate programs associated with it, maybe I am not looking hard enough or in the wrong places?). I could link to things like the Samsung Gear through Amazon but I don't know how well I am going to go at selling phones solely through a VR review site.

So, I guess the best course of action would be to change niches. I thought about some of my other hobbies, other things I know about and can promote and I tried to imagine my customer. The kind of person buying things online and want they might want to buy and I thought I might look some more into the self-development and self-improvement niches.

Sure enough, things like Reiki, Yoga and Martial Arts (other interests of mine) have a great deal more affiliate programs available.

Since my first chosen niche showed little in the way of affiliate programs (maybe I am too early), I am going to have to research some other niches.

I'll do some keyword research next and try to find some products I'd like to promote.
