Success Is Sweet LOL
Greetings from Safford Arizona--a picturesque town in the middle of nowhere, whose claim to fame is the Morenci Copper Mine--one of the largest in the world. We are here to sell 1 ton of kettle corn between 5 PM tonight and 5 PM Sunday night.
PICTURE a motel that uses actual metal keys for room keys. And the couple remember us from year to year, and "our" room is always ready. Were it not for the TRUMP/PENCE signs around town and the makes/models of car--and gas prices--we could be anywhen.
And I am using a "laptop" that weighs 12.5 pounds, and is larger than the average briefcase. is name is Dr. Livingston, and when he doesn't have his adapter, he connects to the internet via a 56K modem. Dr Livingston is nearly an "adult" in people years--another few years, he'll be 21 LOL. So why am I happy?
Because, by the end of this weekend, we will have served 50-60,000 people. With a three person crew--the two guys and me.
By the end of this weekend, Dr. Livingston and I will have posted another review or two on my website here, and built some more back links.
By the end of this weekend, I will have added several more people to my various groups, and helped some people here and elsewhere with various projects.
And through all this, we're using old stuff. Stuff anyone else would have given up on years ago. People laugh at Dr. Livingston because he is so old.
Well, he may be old, but he still has plenty of good years in him--just as my other half and I do, despite our age. The fact that a guy in his 60's can cook 100 pounds of popcorn an hour, for 14 hours straight, is the very essence of success.
The fact this fair, fat, 51 year old gal can BAG 100 pounds an hour for the same amount of time, then come back to the hotel and fire up the computer and WORK is success.
If I can keep my goals in SAFFORD--despite this being thwe mopst punishing weekend of my year--than keepiong them at home will be a piece of cake LOL
