How Do You Manage a Busy Schedule?
I am interested to know how much time the successful affiliate marketers allow for their online marketing venture? I know it probably depends on if you are full time or not. I am mostly interested in those that have found success part time in the beginning. This is where I am at the moment. However, if you are full time now and can remember what the beginning was like, I would appreciate it.
It seems that most sites tell you that you can get this going and start making money right away. Either, I am not doing something right, or they are just selling you a line. I suspect it is the latter. Thanks for the information in advance.

There is a tendency at the start and with the excitement you feel to focus on the income however I realized that if you can focus upon developing your site and offering quality information the income will follow. Seeing results is different for everyone and will depend upon how well you use keywords, the consistency of posting and so on. It will naturally take time, just as a house takes longer to get the foundations in place than the house going up!
You could do just as much with one to two hours of consistent focus and creating good content. Have you seen Kyle's "10 Review Coffee Cup Challenge" - that will really get you focused!
Mindset is key here. I have found that rather than looking for results I tell myself that I am adding one more piece and know that more is coming!
Hey Chad, I am working only part time on my website right now, as I'm a student and therefore have limited time to spend on this. I have been a premium member for maybe a month and a half now and although I haven't made any money from my website yet, I feel like I have achieved a lot and that there is certainly a large possibility to earn a FULL TIME income from a PART TIME job, which is crazy really.
You've just got to put the effort in and whenever you encounter a problem, don't close turn of your laptop until you've resolved it. Believe me, doing things that way always allows you to make a positive start to the next day.
It took Kyle 3 months before he made his first penny online and you know how amazing he is at this right? It's all about setting your site up at first and the money WILL come.

Hi Fortius54, the initial investment of time is up front in building the site, the content, driving traffic and the marketing. I would say that it takes about 3 months to really do all of this if you are doing this full-time and longer if doing it part-time. Once you get the system or process down, I think it could be done in less time. That's what I am finding with my second site (my goal is 3 more sites this year). There's a great book that will give you some overall statistics on earnings called, "From Newbie to Millionaire" by Christine Clayfield. At the end of her book she gives you a breakdown of money in and money earned for each site approximately. I found that extremely encouraging. Best of luck to you!

Thank you all for the great comments. It is certainly encouraging. I know this is a commitment. I was really trying to see if there is a consistent number, and three months seems to be the key. Of course, I took a month off so it feels like I am starting over.
