About two weeks ago I created my professional email for my website as recommended. It was really easy and free. It is included in our premium account here at WA. I know what your thinking. (Ya, OK, So?) Ha, Ha. LOL. A few days later, I thought it would be a good idea to check it. OK, so I go to it and I entered everything in the appropriated boxes and NO, it didn't happen. I got a message saying something that I can't remember now but I tried it over again, and again, and again. Nope! It wouldn't work for me. So I contacted Kyle, and he said they checked it and it worked and if I have any more problems contact Site Support. I tried it again and it still didn't work for me. Then I thought I had to be doing something wrong (as usual) and I tried the password and WA! LA!! it worked for me. One of the letters had to be a capital. I felt so bad that I bothered Kyle and the Site Support people over something so ridiculous.

I decided to review training that Kyle did for us about how to set up and get your email address here at WA. He highlighted the password and paste it. Soooooooo. I decided to do that with mine. I highlighted the password, clicked log in to email, the next page opens, I type in DEB, then click on the box for the password and clicked paste and I got an ugly message. I do not remember exactly the wording, sorry, but I was not into my email. Not just No but Heck No. LOL.

I went over it and over it and over it about 6 times until I looked really close, I looked REALLY close to the little tiny black dots that were the cover up dots for my password that got pasted in the box. I counted the letters in my password and I counted the numbers of the dots. There are eight letters and there were nine dots. I deleted one dot and my email opened up. I checked it and I logged out.

Am I going crazy? Does everybody get an extra dot when they copy and paste and then have to delete one dot? No, Kyle didn't. Or is my laptop playing tricks on me. Ugh, does anyone know why my print is red now? Can someone let me know how to change it back to black??

Thank-ugh nevermind I'm OK -Thanks for spending your time here with me, I hope it was entertaining and made you chuckle a bit. It is always healthy to release endorphins. This is a true story and I did not choose the red ink type. Good Night.

I'm so sorry you had so many problems. That's the kind of thing that happens to me all the time. It's always something little that messes up my whole time.. I guess we just have to be patient with ourselves and do like you did, troubleshoot until you get to the root cause.

Hi Roxy-Thank you for such kind words, I am so happy I have nice friends here, like yourself, that have similar issues as me. I am very detail oriented so if there is one little step missing in the training I will go crazy trying to figure it out. Its taken me 4 days to solve issues!!! Then another day to rest and build my mind back up and my self esteem. I look everywhere!!! You tube, safari, etc.
Thanks so much for reading and leaving me a comment. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day!!Deb

I do understand. I will be totally flummoxed by something and finally figure out it is some small thing I am doing, or not doing. So frustrating! Hope you got your email completely sorted. Guess I should go check mine...lol...

Hi Fran Now I don't feel so alone. I swear the type turned red when I typed "playing tricks on me" and I didn't know how to change it back, and I was so tired by then and impatient and it changed back!! It gave me the creeps. LOL!! I did check the email and nothing as usual!!LOL!! Thanks so much for reading and sending a comment to me. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day!!Deb

Hi Deb. Thx for sharing. I'm the same as you. Luckily I have my disabled son helping me in this business. He knows exactly what to do and is a lot more computer savvy than I am. Being BBC (born before Computers) doesn't help us.lol

I like that....BBC. Me too.

Hi Sharon, OMG Yes, you are very lucky to have your Son helping. Back around 1986 I was the first in my office to ask the boss for a computer. He asked me "what would you do with it" LOL!!! I said I would keep better records of stuff etc. He got me one and I killed it!!! The computer expert couldn't even find the program anywhere.!!! Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day!!Deb
