Thank you all for the great advice and help. I have had a small affiliate disclosure on the side bar. But after reading these comments, I will be making changes when I get back home this afternoon

I have a couple of affiliate programs that require it on each of their products that I review, so I am including it on each of my reviews. I also have a separate post with my affiliate disclosure.

Yes, definitely have a disclosure. I put mine on my product review page. Some other members place theirs next to each product. But you definitely need to disclose

Yes do a search here for affiliate disclosure and can not remember which member honestly but she has a detailed post about it. Amazon has its own disclosure statement you need to include in your disclosure. There is also blogs and training about it and I learned yesterday that Amazon requires it on every page and there is a training just posted yesterday about how to install a plugin that has a disclaimer tag you can post on each page and post. I'm on my phone or I would look them up for you. Ill check when I get home after a bit.

In the US it is a legal requirement to have a disclosure statement everywhere you have an affiliate link - it was a law passed in 2013 by the FTC.
But, there are lots of theories about where the disclosure needs to be. Here are some tips I have seen.

The disclosure should be with the "triggering item". If you cannot do that then linking to the disclosure is OK if:

The link to the disclosure page should be near the “triggering item.”
The link to the disclosure page should be obvious & unavoidable.
The link to the disclosure page should not be an icon, symbol or abbreviation.
“Hyperlinks that simply say ‘disclaimer,’ ‘more information,’ ‘details,’ ‘terms and conditions,’ or ‘fine print’ do not convey the importance, nature, and relevance of the information to which they lead and are likely to be inadequate.”
The link should look the same as all the other links on your site (i.e. the same color, font size, underlined or not, etc.).
The page containing the full disclosure should be easy to navigate and the disclosure itself should be immediately visible.
Do not use “blockable pop-ups” to house your disclosure.

Yes indeed. I published a blog within WA not too long ago on this very subject and you can copy and paste the Disclosure for your own site making the appropriate correction of personal details if you want to insert any.

The absolute NEED to explain what they are promoting so that others can be comfortable enough with the knowledge presented to Buy, sign up or complete an email capture form!

This usually means helping that potential client or customer, which is the bottom line.

Is anyone else having issues logging into their sites and things being very slow once they do? I have cleaned all caches.. rebooted routers etc. Support says it's not on their end but I can not find issues on my end.
