I've had great luck with SiteComments so far. One request so far and received well thought out comments. Will be requesting more soon.
I requested 2 comments for one of my pages and I received 8 in a matter of minutes... I didn't even have time to respond to some before others popped up. Unfortunately, people were not reading the content and were asking for additional tips. Really? I had just written a 2200 page article with all that I knew on the subject, a comment asking for more wasn't helpful. Also a question on a different subject. I plan on asking for some more comments, but I want to space them apart a few days so all my traffic on this brand new site doesn't come at once!
Good idea re pacing your comments, you can request this timing when you're requesting multiple comments for one post.
I wouldn't be discouraged by someone asking for me information. That is fantastic and provides you with the opportunity to reply, which increases your engagement and comments, which search engines love! If you are at your limit on the topic (this I can absolutely relate too) then link to a relevant article here in WA in your reply comment so that you're able to assist the person asking the question and those reading your comments at a later time will see how helpful you are.
Yes, I can see when giving more info could be helpful, but this question for more tips also came with a question for recycling the materials and my article was to encourage a purchase of a new item not dwell on used, unsafe items, and certainly not about recycling. It just didn't make sense. In one of the other comments I also had to reply, "as stated in the article..." it's like some people are trying to make up stuff to write a comment instead of being sincere and actually reading the material.
Wow! I see what you mean! I just left a comment and received 1 point.. LOL I still need one more point to request a comment and there aren't any.
