Take time to seek the right theme

It is not easy to find a theme that meets your like and needs. With all the good and good-looking themes around, it becomes even harder to choose.

Take time to choose the right theme. Test it.

And be not afraid to change theme.

What you need to look at when seeking a theme:

  1. Does it fit your niche? A theme for magazine is different from a theme for hairdressers. So, be keen and look at that first.
  2. Is it responsive? With the growing mobile market it is important that your theme adapts to all devices, mobile or fixed.
  3. Is it user-friendly? A good theme is easy and simple to use. Speed is a good sign.
  4. Does it meet your needs? Your needs can be manifold. Design and layout being one of them (colors and fonts) . The use of widgets and menus (structure) being another. Woo commerce ready, in case you will need on line payments. The list is long... just jot down what your site needs to do.
  5. Is it seo ready? It is important that your site is seo ready and integrates with the requirements of search engines.

The list is long again. Those are the most important ones. Make sure to check them.

And if you do not know how to install or change a theme, kindly refer to my training

Hi Fleeky -- Themes, themes, and more themes! ...

.... thousands upon thousands to choose from -- and all with their seeming 'quirks 'n quarks!' ...

... thanks kindly for sharing & posting ...

... all the best, cheerio... 😊

Yes... too much choice

Great advice..though I have only changed theme once. Most are totally responsive to the changes you want to make anyway by adding plugins.

Karen

Right Karen... plugins can be a pain also.
Some themes come With a dozen of unuseful plugins...

Glad you found your theme at once.

Have great day

Great tips and as per my experience it would take longer time to find the correct theme for your website.
Also many of the theme don’t provide many customise option. You have to upgrade to their paid version, so that you will be able to customise accordingly.
After spend a lot of time, I finally choose to use Divi Builder to build my website. Now all my websites are looks more beautiful and professional. It’s mobile and Seo friendly too.

So if you’re looking for a good looking website then go for a premium theme, it will save time and increase your user experience too. Thanks!

Yes... true. Better seek a premium that fits your needs and translates your message.

So i tested lots before finding right one.

I have used devi theme and on mobile it is a pain. Had to replace it. Also bottleneck and many speed issues. On pc ok, on tablet not.

Thank you for sharing

Thanks Fleeky.
I probably didn’t spend enough time in the beginning with my choice of theme, but now am considering a change. Your training came at the perfect time!

Looking at replays in differed mode...

I agree, you need to find a theme that suits your subject matter. My problem is I like so many of them it is hard to choose.
Mary

VEry hard Mary.. I had to test many before finding the right one. And even then...

Exactly you have to take your time to choose a correct template. I'm looking for them to be "customizable" above all. Thank you!

Yes... so true..
Thank you Claudio!

Can you recommend me a good "free" template, to promote WA?
I like to be able to customize colors and sizes in my titles and subtitles, like H1, H2, H3 ... Thanks for your help!

kyle proposes great themes for that purpose in his teachings. They are excellent and reliable.

The customising of fonts and colors can be done in your wordpress editor. No need of a theme for that.
