AI & Content Creation
AI , Content Creation and Creator Ethics
A Gentle FAQ for Creators
Let’s address the most crucial questions to guide you through the process of creating AI content.
Do I need to disclose every time I use AI?
Only if you want to, and only if it adds clarity.
Most readers care less about tools and more about truth.
If your voice is present and the work feels intentional, the question rarely comes up.
Is using AI “cheating”?
No more than using spellcheck, a camera, or a calculator.
AI doesn’t replace thinking. It replaces friction.
The moment it starts replacing judgment, though, the work tends to feel… slippery.
How can I tell if my content still sounds like me?
Read it out loud.
If it sounds like something you’d actually say ( pauses, quirks, and all ) you’re fine.
If it sounds like a helpful stranger explaining things very politely, you might want to step back in.
Is it okay to let AI draft an entire article?
Sure. First drafts are allowed to be clumsy, fast, and a little too eager to please.
The important part is what happens next: editing, choosing, removing, reshaping.
That’s where authorship lives.
Why do some AI-assisted pieces feel empty, even when they’re accurate?
Because accuracy isn’t the same as intention.
Content becomes memorable when someone has decided what matters ... and left the rest out.
AI is excellent at adding. Humans are better at subtracting.
Will readers notice if I rely on AI too much?
They may not consciously notice, but they’ll behave differently.
Less bookmarking. Less returning. Less trust.
Not because anything is “wrong,” but because nothing feels anchored.
What’s a good rule of thumb?
If your content could only exist because you wrote it, you’re doing it right.
If it could appear anywhere without anyone noticing, bring yourself back into the room.
So what’s the goal, really?
Use AI to go faster. Not flatter.
Clearer. Not quieter.
And never so efficiently that you disappear.

Great insight, I agree with you wholeheartedly. The point is not to get lost with information overload as well. I just love how you put it.

Afternoon Fleeky

I like the line 'AI is excellent at adding. Humans are better at subtracting.' The subtracting only applies is there position of one designed to build relationship.
AI is a fine tool, but it doesn't build relationships, human do.
If the goal remains just the sale, then let the AI run rampant.
If the goal is to build a business based on relationships, then we manage the AI, and keep our interactions as human as possible.
Particularly liked your opening gambit ' Ai is the help, Human minds run things'
Excellent post and delivery. Enjoyed it immensely.
Just sating ^_^ Cheers
