Time Management and My Journey So Far

It's been almost two months since I've started my journey with Wealthy Affiliate. This is my second blog that I've posted so for some of you, this may be the first time you may hear from me! I am quiet and shy in nature but I'm starting to gain the confidence to stand out of my shell especially in the online world.

During my time here up until now, I have gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom from a lot of successful people here and I am extremely grateful for all the input that is shared on a continuous basis for the benefit of others like myself.

I have been observing and taking in new knowledge like a sponge. I have recently started the Affiliate Bootcamp and I'm so excited to take in more knowledge to help grow my business and to also help others along the way.

Making the decision to start an online blog was a little overwhelming and a big leap for me. I have watched others do it but I never really imagined that I could do it too until I made the decision to take action now as I am only 19 years young to make a change for my future and to achieve my goals.

One of the most important points that I'm learning to manage more efficiently is managing my work-life balance. I'm currently working part time as an employee in an amazing company, and soon I will be going to a private collage to start my makeup artistry journey. So I will need to make adjustments along the way, but what I've realised is without a plan on how to manage my time with things, i.e. online blog, work, gym, travelling, socialising, running errands etc, procrastination comes into play and that's when you hit a plateau.

For me, I've realised to break out of this plateau is to sort out my my priorities. So I've been working on prioritising my schedule each and every single day, from the moment I wake up, until the end of day. I write down my goals for that day and give myself time frames for each and every goal or task.

I've included this tool with my online business.

1. I check all my emails first

2. I then work on any new blog posts to publish

3. I aim to complete at least two lessons on bootcamp per day

4. I work on one new training source that I've tagged with the yellow star in the search column ( I have heaps to go through)

5. I work on new tips or sources that I get from other bloggers outside wealthy affiliate one at a time (Jeff Rose is an amazing financial planner and blogger who has great knowledge in helping businesses to grow http://jeffrose.com/)

6. I manage my social media accounts

7. I check my stats (google analytics for example) to see which areas I need to improve on and to check for growth. I do this once per week.

I've allocated a maximum of three hours per day working on my blog. I literally set a timer on my phone and time myself! I obviously may not go through all the tasks and in that case I simply rollover to the next task the next day in that order.

Once those three hours are up, I stop and I leave whatever tasks that have not been completed to the next day. Prioritising my workload this way has made a tremendous difference in my work and personal life. This has eliminated stress as before I would spend hours and hours on end just focusing on one task that I had not made time to do anything else.

So far I've started the year off pumped more than ever to achieve and succeed. The weather has been amazing down here in Melbourne, Australia so I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts by going to the beach more often and spending time outdoors! I believe that 2018 is going to be a year of greatness within us all if we choose to look at it through eyes of optimism, excitement and joy.
