Here's the way i use the hub

I have always been known for being a bit unusual. Sometimes that's a very good thing and sometimes it gets me into trouble. However, it's me, so have learned to get along in the world as best I can. That means I have my own individual way of using the Hub platform.

Was discussing AI and the Hub with another member recently, and I told her I thought of the AI Hub as a sort of clothes hanger. We can hang any garment on there, and the hanger will hold it up. The Hub gives us some basic ideas and we can add details from there.

One of the things I do not like about Hub articles is that they are often quite general. However, once I select a topic, I pull up the outline from the Hub platform, and the framework of the outline gives me a sense of the direction I want to take.

Then, I choose my sub-headings, which are usually a mix of what the outline provides and my own original ideas. Once I have these, I do some additional research to see what specific information I can find online about those ideas.

I rewrite everything, so it will be in my "voice." Sometimes I use some phrasing that I like from the AI-generated write-up, as often that material will state something in a way I really like. However, that particular way of wording is blended in with my own ideas and my way of saying things.

I add some specific information that the AI general write-up does not provide. If we are going to write about a topic in depth, I feel that it is important to do a bit of extra work, and not just to copy what AI lays out for us. It's one way, too, to keep our own post more original.

By doing some additional research to add to our AI-selected topic, we can then add reference credits at the bottom of the post. To me, these are important, and when I do that extra bit of research, it gives me the opportunity to add those references.

So, there you have it. I may be a bit of a maverick, but the above explains how I use this resource. Yes, it is a resource, and it is helpful, but I want my posts to be original, so put in the extra work to make them so. I'd be interested to hear ideas from other members as to how you use this new tool.

I think your way of using the hubs is fantastic and similar to how I use it with my writing. Thank you for sharing, Fran.

Pretty awesome, Fran. I also like your comparison to the clothes hanger.

Great Fran that you have found a way with Hubs that aligns with your unique voice.

A good reminder to us all to stay true to ourselves, with a little nudge and helping hand along the way.

Outside-the-box thinking is cool in my book.
Keep succeeding.

I love hubs

Whatever works for you, Fran is the best way to use it! We are all different and finding our own unique path is often the best way to go.

Great take on the Hubs and I like how you do things. Thanks for sharing. I’m in the beginning of experimenting with writing articles there.

I think it’s a great tool to get me started but like you say, I want it to have my voice.

I’m trying different things in “additional content” and editing the outline. It’s nice to know others are on this journey as well and WA is the best place for me to be.
