Live Chat is a source of instant help, it's open 24/7-365. There's usually one of us Eurotrash contingent about when the Canadians are drawing Zzz's. If you want multiple or "considered" opinions, then do what you've done here and blog your questions. :)
Yes, the videos walk you through every step. There are numerous ones available to non-premium members as well. Just do a search in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
I subscribe yearly, I did so after my first month. There wasn't a trial back then, you had to splash-the-cash before you could get through the door. The Black Friday promo is a discount on the normal annual sub.
There's no upsell after you've joined. WAU "premium" includes everything except the cost of registering your own domain names. Oh, apart from "Jaaxy", which I still believe is a government plot to keep us glued to our screens for the rest of our lives. :(

Hi, I have been very pleased with the premium membership. There seems to always be someone in the Chat Room to help and I find it quicker than a help desk type set up.
There is also the forum and you can PM someone. I have found the training to be great and yes the videos do walk you thru building a website. + with all the training provided by everyone , as long as I follow the steps and take action. You can learn as much as you want.
Now that's just me.
