I'm a Certified Commenter!
I've been commenting daily and I'm now a certified commenter! I didn't realise this, but after you do your first 50 comments, you earn a cash credit for every ALTERNATE comment you make. So you earn a cash credit, then a community credit, then a cash credit again etc. I thought it was a cash credit for every comment, so it will take me a bit longer to save up for a site domain. Small steps at a time though!
I would highly recommend using the SiteComments feature - it's great to read a range of articles to broaden your own knowledge base. I've learnt quite a bit about topics I would not normally look into.
You will also need to maintain your Certified Commenter status - so make sure that commenting becomes part of your daily routine.

Now, this is truly the best piece of information today! So you can pay for your site by commenting. Where do I do it? At the posts?
You go to Websites on the left panel, then siteComments. You'll need to do over 100 comments though before you'll have enough cash credits. I'm still working towards it!
How many credits do you get after 100 comments?
You need to do 50 comments to become certified. After that, each comment alternates between receiving a community credit and a cash credit.
So if you're starting from scratch:
First 50 comments = 50 community credits
comment 51 = 1 cash credit
comment 52 = 1 community credit
comment 53 = 1 cash credit
comment 54 = 1 community credit
and so on.
A cash credit is worth 50c. So for a $14 domain you would need 28 cash credits. But because you're only receiving a cash credit for alternate comments, you will need to do an additional 56 comments after the initial 50 comments to become certified.
Also keep in mind that you need to maintain your certified status over a 30 day period with an 80% approval rate and 20% skip rate.
