Power of Mentoring
I am celebrating my two years with WA this March! What a journey it has been! After joining, I went through the courses and was able to quickly build my blog. However, progress was slow and often times it took hours to get a problem resolved. While the tutorials are extremely helpful, I had to go over it several times to understand the steps I need to do. I reached out to members who were very helpful. And I made progress. But there was something missing. My progress was too slow. My understanding of the process was not up to par.
Searching for a WA tutorial on how to create a Gravatar I ran into a member, TeddyBear. I read his tutorial, and I still was not able to create a Gravatar. I contacted him via PM, and later had a phone conversation. In less than 15 minutes, my problem was solved!
And this leads me to the reason for this blog. A one-on-one mentoring could be very effective. It worked for me, not only with the Gravatar issue, but also with other matters regarding my website. For me, I found a mentor - one I can connect with via Skype and share my screen - see what I am doing and guiding me along. One who can answer many of my questions. One who helped me move forward with my website. Bottom line is that with the right mentor, learning could be accelerated!

Every person learning the internet needs to have a mentor looking over their shoulder through skype like Marion Black and Teddy Bear which will save you years of wandering the internet lost.
I know as I have been there done that but will never give up as it is keeping my brain active in my late years.
You are making awesome progress, Tom. I have never laughed so hard in my life at the jokes your wonderful wife tells me. I know as we now move to ebooks your hard work will truly blossom to extraordinary and great things that will educate the masses long after you and I are gone, my precious friend.
How did everything go for the wife at the doctor's office?
Well two weeks in the decompression and still alive.
Doctors were going to stop her from going as her blood pressure was two low 90 over 40.
I took her to the heart doctor and he got 120 over 60.
30 treatments to go.
I will be ready as of Monday, pension day.
I still have the same problem with my site getting the first three level.
I get it right hit the green tick and goes back to before again plus one and getting longer.
Next time I will use the other hand and stand on one foot ,it might work.
I believe it applies not only to technical issues but the approach to the business itself. For example, what looks better, outsourcing, etc... Thanks for your comment, Regards, Fred
