- Get Good Equipment
- Make a Plan
- Write a Script

I have been editing video now for over 20 years. The technology has come a long way.
Although Final Cut Pro on an Apple product is recommended for serious editors, I have found that Sony Vegas works just as well and does so on a PC. Video is memory intensive and I have 10 Tb on my computer to hold footage that I want to keep at my fingertips to keep the creative juices flowing. I have noticed that PCs version compared to Mac is about 40% of the price and although Mac may be the goal for those beginning, PCs work very well indeed.
@phrx Thanks for your post. Good info. The WA community can certainly use your skill set. Have you considered creating a training on video editing? Just a thought! Regards.
I know nothing about videos and at this point I am staying away until I learn more of the beginners training. but this does seem to make perfect sense and like others say I will keep this for my future ventures...
Thank you again

@wtbee2013 Even if you are not ready for it now, I strongly recommend it for your future. Having video enhances websites and, if posted through YouTube, can broaden your readership and drive traffic to your site. Thanks for the post and take care.

Thanks - this was very useful information
@BIS Glad you found this useful. If you feel inclined, you can blog about how you used the info or any other resources so that others can learn from you too. We really are all in this together. I wish you success in your every endeavor.
Thanks - I already blog regularly and create training materials - but thanks for the suggestion.
@BIS Yes you have build quite the blog here at WA [BTW it's great!] but I meant do you blog outside WA too? I love learning and I'm sure I can learn from you. Every writer's voice is so unique that sometimes we write about the same information yet it is perceived differently by different readers. Amazing! Take care.
Yes I blog regularly, for my own sites, I guest blog for some people and I write a lot of articles .
