I felt like I knew everything there was to know about business. I've started companies, ran entire operations and spearheaded more ventures than I can remember. I was betting that these people at this WA place could stand to learn a thing or two from old Webman!
In my mind there really wasn't any serious reason for me to join some online community to learn how to build websites. My idea seemed simple enough, all I had to do was find some free resources online that could teach me how to construct web pages and get a bunch of traffic to the sites I was going to create.
What was the point of getting involved with a bunch of other people that were probably just going to try to steal all of my ideas anyway? I mean I'm an accomplished businessman, I really know business, I think I can build a website.

Well, I sit corrected. Humbled. For the love of being absolutely wrong and having to laugh at my own ignorance! I was wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. There isn't anyone here that could positively care less about stealing any of my website ideas! And, there is an absolutely amazing energy here at WA that breathes compassion and helpfulness . I now realize how fortunate I am to be a part of this amazing network. I love the way that asking a question like I did this morning yields useful answers in the matter moments. It's mind boggling that so many members want to see the success of each other.
My wife is now a lifetime fan of WA. If nothing else ever happened for us here she would be happy... WA has already gotten me to admit that I was wrong and has proven that I really don't know everything.
