My Journey Thus Far!

Hey guy's! So I joined Wealthy Affiliate on January 18, 2024, I am about a week and half in. I am a stay at home mom to two children, a 7 year old girl and an 8 month old boy. I am also homeschooling my daughter full time. We live out in the country working on building our homestead. We have some chickens, cats, and dog's for now. So needless to say I am a fairly busy person.

I was nervous to jump into the wealthy Affiliate plus program at first because it is an investment and I knew it would take time and effort. But after doing some research and learning, and talking it over with my husband we decided it was worth the risk. And already am I ever glad that I took that leap. I have learned so much and I am not even done the core training yet. I have dabbled in online business before but nothing like this!

The niche I chose for my website is self-sufficiency, as this is something that resonates with me and I am constantly learning about it to apply it to my own life. I am up to 9 pieces of content on my website.

I don't think I have written anything really formal since I was in school, so my writing skills are not the best. But when I sat down to write my first article, I actually surprised myself with how much I enjoyed it. I enjoy doing the research and learning not only for my articles but for myself as well.

I still have a lot to learn! I would say my biggest struggle so far is finding the right keywords to use. I'm not sure if I am struggling with that because my niche is so broad and there are so many results that come up, or if there is just too much competition for a starter website. I know that it is a learning curve and I am very excited to learn.

My plans for the next three months are to put as much effort and spare time into my website as I can to build up the content and my ranking. I would also really like to see my website bringing in an income, even if its just $5. I also have another niche idea for a new website that I would like to get started up as well.

For the next six months my goals are to be generating enough income that I can contribute to our financials. By six months I would love to see two website both bringing in a revenue. I am also interested in promoting Wealthy Affiliate down the road.

For just doing this in my spare time (and this past week has been busier than usual) I am proud that I have as much content up as I do and for pushing myself on a new exciting adventure.

I cannot wait to see what my future brings! I am looking forward to all the learning and creating new skills. I am looking forward to being apart of this community!
