Family is Everything
I am blessed to have four children (2 boys / 2 girls), a granddaughter, and a grandson on the way. I am surrounded by in-laws, nieces, nephews, brother, mother, and play family. I am also blessed to have a work family as well as an online marketing community. Life is good!
Life is full of distractions and we tend to get caught up in all the stuff.
So many things throughout the day vying for our attention. The phone is ringing off the hook, text messages, social media sites, friends, co-workers, or the person that cut you off on your way home. The list goes on and on.
At times we get caught up in the distractions of the day and we forget about those who mean the most.
Throughout the day, we are so busy trying to please others, we come home and shut the door on our family. We have made the mistake of allowing others to direct our day. Before you know it, we have become nothing more than people pleasing robots. The end result, relationships at home begin to suffer.
Your spouse or significant other begins to doubt the relationship, the kids begin to wonder why mom or dad doesn't have time; asking the question, why are we always on the waiting list? We tend to get so caught up in our daily routine that we forget about those who love and care about us.
Yes, we all have good friends and acquaintances, but nothing compares to family. Family is everything.
Despite our our short comings and the mistakes we've made, family may not like it or approve of it, but they will always be there in the end. Sometimes it takes friends and acquaintances a little longer, but family is now.
Family comes through when others can't. Family is forever.
Take time today to let your family know how much you appreciate them. Thank them for their unconditional love. Remind them, that no matter what, you will be there to support them. Hug them and tell you love them. Family is everything.
