Twitter made me a whopping 2 pound

Not that long ago I joined WA and more to gain better and more knowledge and experience on setting up website properly. I have created websites before and even some website doing pretty good like an shop in Joomla for a Thai Food Store here in the UK.

I did not use WordPress but focused completely on Joomla. Is Joomla more complicated? Maybe it is but at the end it is all about content. Quality content that is and then it really does not matter if you have a site in WP, Joomla, Drupal or whatever CMS you want to use, it is all about the quality of the content.

And that is what I learned here at WA, not just the content but how to set it up, think about it, rewrite content, use keywords not only in the Title and first paragraph but write natural without keyword stuffing, relevance of your keywords to the subject. Not just using they keyword itself but look at http://www.thesaurus.com/ for synonyms.

You might ask yourself the question what this all has to do with Twitter. Well, I never have been a Twitter fan. I have an account, deleted it, started it again and connected my LinkedIn to Twitter and my Facebook then deleted it again same as my Facebook account because basically I always thought it was crap, same is for Facebook.

Installed Twitter on my smartphones (iPhone and Samsung), removed it again installed it again. Why installing when I not use it? Do I really need to go with the crowd? Like what others seems to like?

But since I am with WA I added some social buttons and Twitter is one of them, as a matter of fact when I tweet a new page it will automatically show up on Facebook but with only 53 friends, most of them family, Facebook is not giving me much.

LinkedIn will be much better with over 4000 connections but so far I can see LinkedIn as a source within Google Analytics and the same counts for Reddit and some other social media sites but not the first sale from these sites.

Although all these sites bring good traffic the first sell was via Twitter. Can you believe it, I did not believe in Twitter, who is reading it anyway unless you are a celebrity, but selling a pair of bamboo socks and as a site effect the buyer bought also some HP Cartridges and that by only tweeting a link about Sweaty Feet. The socks were £9.99 making me £0.90 and to avoid the shipping cost, I assume, the buyer also bought some cartridges of £24 to go over at least £20.. well it made me a whopping £2.. so from me no bad news on Twitter.. it does work even if it is only £2........
