Business Etiquette

Last Update: October 17, 2012
Has business etiquette gone down the drain. I have noticed, that working in companies outside the internet, the business etiquette has left the building. I now work for a market research company and only have been there for 7 months. In a short time I have seen so much that its ashame Everyday I wake up, I drag myself to getting ready for work. The reason is, I don't want to be there. The reason is because, when you have a business sense or mind, you know where you don't or do belong. In my case I don't belong on a job like this.
The reason why I asked has the business etiquette gone down the drain, is because, in my own experiences, not just on my job, but other businesses, I have seen men walking with their pants down, showing their draws, women dressed like they belong in the street. Some do not have a business mind or sense. No one knows how to talk to each other. What is the point of having a business. Running a successful business and having a good reputation, has alot to do with the type of people you allow to work in the business. If you have workers that are rude, to the clients or customers, you are guaranteed to get a complaint from the client or the customer. If jobs are not being done correctly, you will get a complaint. If you get too many complaints, then you know its time for a change in the business. Change can be good when done right. Sometimes when doing the same thing over and over again, and nothing is improving, it means its time to go back to the drawing board and come up with something else. If you are not ready to make changes to your business to improve it, your business will not flourish the way it should. You will wonder why you are not making any money.
To me, I think some businesses do not need to continue operating until they figure out how to run their business in a more professional manner. I am learning that How you are off the job, should not be shown on the job. There should be a professional manor-ism in the work place. If you don't like working with people, having a job working with people will not work for you. I remember calling a business and talking to the receptionist, I heard her say she needs a new life. Who on earth would she say that on the phone where she can be heard. Thinking in the back of my mind, I said to myself, get another job, go to school and better yourself. Why stay in a place where you are not happy. This is why I was trying different work at home businesses because I like business. I hope in the years to come, businesses will run more professionally.

hey e - good point - i think it's a reflection (negative) of the permissiveness of society today - i for one am in favor of the good old days that maybe weren't so politically correct but were certainly more pleasant on the eyes and ears
