One small step for this lady...
Today, I am proud to announce, I am very close to having a fully functioning/working website.
After finagling around with WordPress for a good week or so, I have figured out how to make my selected pictures not disappear from my site at times (keeping them in the media library), categorize my posts to certain pages, and get social media connections going. I've gotta say, I have learned more in two weeks in regards to online technology than four years of college combined!
In light of this, I would like to take a moment to reflect on WA means to me. Up to now, I have had the dream of being able to share my love of humanity and nature and my beliefs of conservation and sustainability in the world effectively somehow. Doing it through a profession turned out to be implausible, so I began harboring some frustration over not getting to be able enact this despite having prepped and studied for so long. Now, I have an avenue of being able to develop my very own outreach (on a level potential I never dreamed of) for this mission: a webpage!
What WA means to me is the ability, opportunity, and freedom to do the things I wanted to do: share some info, engage with people on my webpage, and spread the message of "greening" the world on day-to-day level. Posting pretty blogs and pictures, especially from some of my favorite artists from DeviantArt, and making some money (of course) is very enjoyable as well.
That is just my thought at least. I want to put this out there for all yous who may want to read on how others are feeling about their own personal development, and to pose the question in return: what do you think? What does WA mean for you?
Much thumbs up,
Charlene
