The most important characteristics you need to succeed in business are resilience, determination and persistence. Success is all about persistence and doing the right thing for the long term. Some of the most talented people in the world end up doing nothing with their talent because they lack the persistence to do the every-day work of creating.

What separates truly creative greats from those who are less creative is the aspect of persistence. The wealthiest people in the world overcome their initial difficulties and use persistence to make their life dreams come true. Persistence allows us to keep taking action even when we don’t feel motivated to do so, and therefore we keep working towards our goals.

Some people mistake grit for sheer persistence - charging up the same hill again and again.

Sometimes you need to let your sheer will and persistence carry you through despite all the negativity and opposition you might face. Procrastination is the enemy of persistence and the thief of your precious time. Building persistence will allow you to basically train yourself to work for longer periods of time while also working harder.

It is important though, to balance persistence with adequate rest to reduce the risk of burnout. Focus is equally important as persistence when it comes to work ethic. Developing persistence to help you reach your set goals needs a positive mental attitude regardless of the situation. Avoid negative thoughts and beliefs at all cost for they will ruin your concentration and persistence.

Persistence has been shown to be the biggest predictor of success, in school and in work. Persistence is a skill you develop overtime by training specific pathways in your brain. But in order to get there, we need that persistence, that perseverance, to allow us to achieve those goals in the face of obstacles that would otherwise derail us.

Accomplishment comes from a lot of persistence and determination. Persistence in leadership means hard work because you can’t achieve positive outcomes without it. When I think of any goal I’ve achieved, persistence and perseverance are at the core.

Persistence of action comes from persistence of vision, and that persistence of action will bring our dreams and vision into physical existence.

Persistence, has a lot to do with your success in life, business, fitness, love and recreation. No one is going to succeed at everything they attempt to do, but persistence is the key to finding those moments of success.

Reaching your creative potential often takes time, and persistence is critical for seeing a challenge through to the end. Perseverance is the persistence in working on your goal despite facing many obstacles. Perseverance and persistence are equally crucial in the work required to turn a business into a viable enterprise, given the challenges and roadblocks thrown up along the way.

Courageous persistence is the one quality more than any other that can guarantee success.

Persistence and dedication will get you far in life. Perseverance and persistence are the same and to some extent I believe they determine effort and strategy. Persistence is the ability to maintain action regardless of your feelings. Persistence is more than a buzz word, it's a way of life. This persistence is where you will gain some of your greatest creative ideas from.

Persistence is often the difference between a job and a career. The real issue is not talent as an independent element, but talent in relationship to will, desire, and persistence. I absolutely believe that persistence is more important than inspiration.
