Beware of The Shiny Things
This is my second go-round on WA. I had mixed results the first time. It was sort of like the Clint Eastwood movie The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
The Good
I originally signed up in 2011 and was so happy to have finally found a site that wasn’t a scam and actually had real training on how to make money online. I spend my first 2 to 3 weeks studying everything. Then I made my first website on blogger reviewing gaming guides. I had instant success. The second week the site was up I started making Clickbank sales. In 3 weeks I make over $400.00 I couldn’t believe it.
The Bad
I believe the quick success went to my head and I got greedy. I wanted to make more money even faster so I started chasing all the “shiny things”. Without realizing it I fell right back into the get rich quick habit. I started buying push button to wealth guru programs, tool, and software anything that was shiny and promised instant cash. I was like an addict.
The Ugly
After several months my original sites that I created using the teachings here stopped selling since I hadn’t kept up with them while I was chasing all the other ventures that were going to make me rich. These sites made me over $2,000.00 before they fell out of the ranks from my neglect and all the shiny thing that I purchase ended up costing me close to $2,000.00 and returned nothing. I was so frustrated that I just quite. I canceled my WA account and deleted most of my websites.
Second Chance
After a year away I started thinking about Wealthy Affiliates again. I thought about how everything worked when I stuck to the training here and it wasn’t till I started looking outside of WA that the trouble started. Now I’m back and ready to do it the right way.
I basically wanted to share my story as a warning. WA provides all that you need to succeed. There is no reason to go out and buy the next great thing. We should all know by now 95% of the stuff on the web is just a scam to take your money. Just follow the training here and put in your time and good thing will happen.
