Hi Ernest, you recently joined and just started the Certification lessons. When you continue you will come across this and it's explained in detail. If you go ahead of yourself you miss important steps and this may affect you later on.
I suggest you continue on learning properly, you will benefit from this greatly :)

Yes, Ernest, as Elwin points out you would normally have products on your niche site that you can promote/recommend from Amazon. You need to join Amazon as an associate. I would definitely check out the link he provided as well as others here. I am setting up my site to sell specific travel related products from Amazon.

Once you become a member of the amazon affiliate program, you can search for products and they will provide links that you can add to your website!
Also, starting from the day you first apply to be a member, you have something like 180 days to make at least 3 sales in order to be accepted.

Is it 3 sales? I always thought that you just had to make 1 sale in 180 days or they would kick you off as an associate?
That may be how it was in the past but I received an email from them yesterday informing us that they are changing this to 3 sales. I'm still pretty new to this stuff so that news was definitely a bummer!
Hi, Ernest, Usually when you promote Amazon products they should be the same niche your website is.
For instance, if you sell fishing poles you should be list fishing related products. What you have to do is see if you can get approved for Amazon Associates first then go from there.

If you want to promote amazon products, then you have to become an amazon associate in order to get links on products you want to promote. Go to https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/
You then want to press Join Now for free. It will then give you all the instructions and set up procedure where you will have to fill out all your personal info as well as your site info. They then have to review your case and accept you, usually doesn't take more than a day or two I believe. You then will be able to type in any product on the amazon associate home page and press get link. That will be your link for that product that you promote on your site.

Sure, traffic will increase to your site as your website matures and google trusts it more. You'll notice your site trust goes up 10% every month in google. Keep publishing content with good keywords. I would also recommend to promote your site on social media. Google +, a facebook page, and twitter are all good ones to start with.
As for adding amazon products to your site, I would follow these training modules that go in depth on how to do that. Adding Affiliate Links to Your Pages Amazon: Costumize and get HTML
I would be interested in that as well. Hopefully there will be some great tips from within the group
