Valuable Skills Learned Thanks to WA
Hello All!
I thought I would share my first major success at WA, which did not have to do with sales. But it saved me a good bit of money in the long run.
So I am going through a program that teaches me how to publish a book. And of course all authors now a days need a website. Well guess what? I know all about websites now! I feel like such an expert!
But seriously, we needed a specific type of website to collect e-mail addresses and put those e-mails into a program like Mailchimp. The program I am in suggested LeadPages and Instapage. Well, both of these are, in my opinion, expensive. One is $25 a month, the other $29 a month, and that is for the most basic of packages.
I was appalled! $25 bucks a month and all the website has is one page that collects e-mails? Seriously?
I had already done a small bit of e-mail marketing! There is all kinds of help here on how to do that!
Well, I went to work with my WA skills folks. I created my own siterubix website that cost me $0. It collects e-mails, thanks to the SumoMe plugin, but I can also add as many pages, posts, and plugins as my little heart desires. And after my Amazon launch, I can even convert the page into a full website for my book and sell it there as well.
Absolute winning. I danced around my apartment a couple times too =)
