I believe if you have a plan B you do not have as much faith on plan A. If you put even some energy into Plan B than that energy is taken away from plan A. Be committed to one as if your back is to the wall and you than have no choice other than to move forward.
This does not mean than your plan A cant change. When you plan your Plan A, at the time it is right for you but as time change it needs adjustment and that is ok as you are still moving forward. Make the change and move forward.

I always say: Plan your work and work your plan! But I really like your saying, In other words, have a backup plan!

I like to consider a plan B not as an alternative to the failure of plan A but as another way to work on plan A.
