Hello WA community! I have a question coming from my inexperience in the affiliate marketing business. I just finished the online entrepreneur certification a couple of weeks ago. I'm writing quality content and publishing it regularly. I'm well on my journey to success in affiliate marketing.

Now that I finished the certification I'm left wondering, What's next? I understand that the driver behind the affiliate marketing business model is quality content creation. An affiliate marketer's number one priority is creating content which ranks well in serach engines. So that's my daily focus; just sitting down and banging out quality articles.

But what can I do on top of what?

What are the second, third and fourth highest value activities I can be doing today to encourage business growth?

I would love to hear from you!

Erick

Keep researching so you can "bang out more articles."

Are you a professional writer? Unless you are, it may not be super easy for you to produce high quality content on a daily basis. The research needs to be solid, whether that's keyword research, topic research or merchant research. You can also spend some time studying your analytics and your competitors. Which posts are performing best? What are the common factors? What are the top topics on your competitor's sites? Which merchants are they working with?

Hope that helps.

Hello Jeannine

Absolutely agree. Keeping up research is key! I hadn't even thought of that.

While I'm not a professional writer, research is second nature to me. My blog focuses on self-improvement, which is a subject I'm immensely curious about. So I read and read about it without expending effort. It's actually fun for me.

I believe a law of affiliate blogging is: the more curious you are about your niche, the less work it will be.

Also fully agree on the analytics part. I don't yet have enough traffic to be able to accurately compare articles. But once I do, pulling out the common strengths of high-performing articles will be a great move.

About keyword research, would you say that the method we learn in the training is solid? Are there any improvements you've been able to identify?

Thanks for your reply!

I think that the training here is a solid foundation. There are more advanced strategies as time goes on, but in the meantime this will definitely get you started.

You'll learn how your audience responds to the keywords you've focused on.

I always look for keywords which might be a little bit off the beaten track to see if it's an untapped area. I've found that one or twice for different niches, and it's always a gold mine. Don't be afraid to think outside the box or chase a keyword down a rabbit hole to see where it can take you. (Enough cliches there? Haha!)

That's reassuring. I read posts that talk about doing SEO in a more complicated manner than I l earned here and it gets me doubting the methodology.

But I see the sense in what you say. I'll relax and accept that I'll learn the advanced ropes as I go along.

I will follow as many uncommon keywords down rabbit holes, on wild goose chases and to the far reaches of the galaxy as I can!

I would say keep writing even more high quality content, Erick! (You could also check out Bootcamp if you wanted to).

Yes, very true, Erick! The better you get at it, the more you will be viewed as an authority in your niche and the higher you will rank!

I am very interested in what others say, Erick... Thanks for asking the question.
I would say sharing posts on the social media platform of your choice would come second.

Hey Richard, thanks for engaging! Sharing our content on social media is also my answer.

I wonder if anyone has a different point of view?
