An open question to the WA community
I'll be honest. I doubt my ability to make this work. This doesn't mean I don't love researching and writing my own content. I do. But a part of me still doesn't believe that writing blog posts and posting on social media will lead to traffic and hence to sales. Or, more accurately, a part of me believes I won't be able to make this work. Why would anyone want to read through what I have to say? Aren't people flooded with information already? Aren't people always out of time?
So I ask, Have you been succesful by applying the lessons from WA? If so, how was your experience starting off?
I've tried and failed at so many things, I guess I could use some real life success stories to inspire me.

I was thinking about going to the first lessons and watching Kyle's videos about what it takes to be successful at affiliate marketing. I'll do that.

Hi - it is typical to experience doubts at this stage when the initial excitement has worn off. Most websites are abandoned in the first 3 months. People start off full of enthusiasm and then when nothing happens, they give up and say it doesn't work.
This is a long term commitment and realistically it will take 6 months before you make any income at all. You need to show Google that you are an authority on your chosen niche subject and can take up to 40 posts.
After that, assuming you have used low competition keywords, your posts will start to rank high enough for people to see them and at that stage your traffic starts to increase.
I have been here 2 years, have several websites and make a side income from them.

I suspected this phase of doubt is typical for newbies. By tomorrow I will have been at this for a month. It has been awesome and I have full intention of continuing. I've already learned so much!
I wrote a book before this (unpublished). It took me 2 years and I worked on it almost every day during that time. So I know I can sit down and grind away.
Learning from your experience is heartening! I was feeling a little overwhelmed with the social media component of the 4th section. I'm not big on FB, IG or Pinterest and thinking about spending time on these platforms just exhausted me.

Hi Erick, here is a post to get you motivated.. Do You Need To Outsource To Earn Six Figures Blogging? Having said that you are a month in so its not an overnight success, you really do need to begin to think of this as your own business which it is. Really sell it to me, what are you really passionate about? Does it get you out of bed in the morning? The world and search engines want great content and so do our audience and guess what we are here to help! How great is that as a career!
Go back to basics and think about why you joined in the first place and your purpose. There are members here with an amazing business portfolio. Good luck Phil

I'm passionate about empowering others. This makes me get up in the morning. Nothing beats the satisfaction I receive when I can teach new things to people and they apply what they learn to improve their lives. I live for that. It does make me get out of bed in the morning and write the best content I can. It's my Ikigai.

Be consistent and never quit!! You said you failed at so many. How much time are you giving each one? If you want to be successful, you have to be patient and keep working at it. You can't lose here if you do the training step by step. Ask the questions as you did. Reach out for help. It is all here in WA. You will be successful here if you are patient and don't quit.

Thanks Pam! I failed at so many activities because I didn't know what I liked to do. When you don't know what you like, how can you choose an activity you enjoy doing? Through trial and error! Those were the things I tried and failed at.
I love working on my affiliate business. It's the first thing I've done in many years which I love doing now and see myself doing into the far future. I will keep going no matter what!
