The "Secret Sauce" to WA
I'm often PM'd with the question of "hey what's the one thing I should be doing to be successful in WA, and I mean besides creating quality content consistently..." and it's the "besides creating quality content consistently" that always cracks me up because that pretty much is the secret sauce.
That and "don't quit".
And "don't get sidetracked".
But I'll say this.
If I could add a secret sauce B tip, it would be to control what you can control.
It goes hand in hand with not getting sidetracked. If you simplify your focus to simply putting in the same quality effort as those who are achieving the goals you want to achieve, you'll be on the right path.
What's your goal?
- Is it Vegas? Then do what those members who regularly get to Vegas do.
- Is it full time income with your own niche site? Then follow what those leaders who have done that do.
- Is it getting 10k subs on YouTube and monetizing that to full-time revenue? Then do what the YouTube experts in here are teaching.
That's where your focus needs to be!
Yes, it takes work.
Draw from the passion you see in others who show up every day.
Copy that work ethic.
Be stubborn with your consistency.
Then don't quit!
Control what you can control!
And don't get sidetracked!

Hey Eric,
Thank you for the reminder and motivation to keep going like a Boeing who has no parking spot in the sky!
My philosophy is the PPP (3 Ps system) - Patience, Persistence, and Perseverance.
Creating high-quality content consistently is a given, it is the core of any online business, and without it... you have nothing. You build everything else around your content!
Thank you for your very wise words, Eric.
I think one of the problems with working online is that there are so many potential things that can take our focus away. When I had my off-line business, I arrived on site and had to get on with the job, whereas, with computers, there is always something to potentially sidetrack us, hence the reason to stay focused!
Two things that members may find helpful are "Newsfeed Eradicator", which is a Google Chrome extension, it can hide social media content, which stops distractions, it's fully adjustable to everyone's needs. And, the timer on your PC, I have mine set for 25 minutes, it's just a reminder that time is going by fast and what have I achieved in the past 25 minutes!
Have a great day.
Roy
I also took the draconian step of deleting almost all Social Media from my phone - improved my mental state and gave me back more than an hour each day!
I understand exactly where you're coming from, Mark!
This is actually huge, Mark, one hour a day, equals seven hours a week, which is almost a working day!
I sometimes think that social media, should be called unsocial media!
Social media has its uses, but it needs to be used with great care.
According to the boffins, every time we receive a distraction, that could be a telephone call, looking at social media, or something similar, it takes around 20 minutes to get back into the flow. I can actually believe that is true.
All the best.
Roy

I couldn't agree more with you Eric. In the early days here at WA, once I started my Bootcamp website writing in-depth reviews and focused solely on that, I started gaining premium referrals.
Then more recently I stepped away from being an active WA Ambassador here, and focused on building my niche. Blocking out the distractions, even when those are the helping of people here, I focused solely on my niche.
By doing that I am now earning well with my niche, I now have time to come back to WA and soon start another new website promoting WA with the new Bootcamp training Kyle is getting ready to launch.
For me it is the "don't get sidetracked" that is the big part.
Absolutely. Keep up the great work Rob!
