How to Use the Quick Edit Feature in Your Wordpress Back Office
It's time for your daily dose of Wordpress Wisdom! In today's quick tutorial I'll be showing you how to use the Quick Edit feature for quickly making changes to your posts (or pages) without having to jump inside the post or page editor.
Using Quick Edit is by far the easiest way to:
- Change a post/page title
- Change a post/page slug
- Change the date of publish for a post/ page
- Change or assign the category or tag for a post/page (perfect for changing or removing the default "uncategorized" category)
- Change a post/page status from Published to Draft
- Turn commenting on or off for a post/page
As always, feel free to share this video with anyone needing help with this. If you have any Wordpress related questions that you'd like to see me create a tutorial around feel free to send me a private message or leave me a message on my profile.
If you want to check out all my Wordpress Wisdom tutorials you can go to the WA smart search up top or just head over to my blog.
Be productive!
Get to work!
I'll see you next time!

The quick edit feature is definitely my go to when I want to edit something quickly Eric!
Quick question though...
Do you recommend changing the publish date on a post after updating it or not, and why??
Cheers buddy!
I personally don’t unless it’s a major revamp. And in that case I’m more inclined to create a new post. But there are plugins that will show the last time a post has been updated which basically accomplishes the same thing 👍🏼
