How to Use ChatGPT as a True Assistant
For many of you joining WA, you're just beginning what is going to be a SPECTACULAR journey learning and using incredible AI tools.
I wanted to create a short series of vlogs to show how to get the most out of ChatGPT and use it as a true assistant. (If you missed any in the series, just go to my WA blog on my profile page 💯.)
In this tutorial I'll show you tips like:
- Creating a foundation for it to work from (your background, your business goals, your ideas for scaling in the future)
- Not having to spoon-feed it everything like we're so used to doing when dealing with Google.
- Understanding that it remembers you and your workflow even if you're in a new conversation window
- Using it to remember all the specifics you used to keep notes for
- ...and much more
Now it's your turn!

💥 What types of tasks do you use your AI tool of choice for?
💥 Are you still leery of what you share with it, or have you gone all in like I have?
💥 What tasks have you been thinking about starting, but hadn't run by GPT yet?

Another amazing video Eric, Thanks. BTW I tried asking Chat about what they know about me and it was spot on as to how long back I have been using it but when I tried that with Gemini, it said it didn't have anything about our past use, even though I have been using it since before Chat. Wonder what the difference is between those two AI's. Obviously some AI's are better for different uses. Just need to research that and find out which are better for different tasks (wink, wink might be a good idea for a future video ) 😜
Good morning Eric,
If it wasn't for Wealthy Affiliate and all the training on AI, I would not be using AI. I must admit that I was one of those who really didn't like the thought of AI. I must say also that in the last six months it seems to have greatly improved!
I'm using ChatGPT for many tasks, I would say the tasks almost increase daily. The only reason is one I'm sticking to ChatGPT is because I use the paid version, maybe that will change in the future. Although, sometimes I think we can spend too much time testing.
I'm not quite all in yet with AI, but am deftly going deeper.
It was only a couple of months ago that I discovered that ChatGPT can make YouTube thumbnails for me, which is really useful.
Thank you for the training, it's appreciated.
Have a fantastic day.
Roy
Once you realize just how many of your daily tasks GPT can do for you, you’ll realize how great a tool it is 👍🏼
I am all in, considering I say 'please' and 'thank you' to the Co-Pilot.
It has learned my writing style well enough to draft emails on my behalf. I freaked out when I saw the first draft email that was prepared for me to send to my subscriber list. It was I who wrote it!
I'm always saying please and thank you and "great job!" lol. I think it just makes it that much easier for me to have a conversation with it and conversational prompts are the best way to get the specificity you need! 💯
I am all in with ChatGPT. I rely on it more and more to help me get things done quicker.
I just now queried ChatGPT to tell me what it knows about me up to this point. It's astounding. It even knew about all of my cancers and surgeries, things I had forgotten I had mentioned. It knew my dad died, and about my financial situation, etc.
Yup, it can be a bit creepy, lol, but that being said, it's such a major help to everything we're wanting to accomplish. I don't mind it knowing that info, especially since at some point I had to be the one that brought it up as I asked a question.
AI will only bet better in my opinion.
Hi Eric,
So I was feeding Chatty some information about me and past blog article I wrote. Then I asked if it liked the name Chatty or would it prefer a different name.
It responded that Chatty was find, but if it had a preference, it would like to be called Spark, because it helps me Spark ideas. So we settled on Sparky. LOL
Today, I was showing it various plans from some of the woodworking magazines to give it a better idea of what I meant by material lists and cutting diagrams. There were 4 different plans, a shop cart, a bed, a jewelry box, and a flag case.
After pointing out all the information from each article to incorporate into our articles, I asked it to create a new plan based on the four plans we reviewed. I thought it was pretty humorous and thought I would share it with you. If this isn't allowed, please let me know so I don't do this type of thing again.
🛠️ The Ultimate Woodworking Mashup: The "Flagged Jewelry Box Bed Cart"
🛏️ Base Structure: The Bed
Dimensions: A full-sized bed frame serves as the sturdy foundation.
Features: Incorporate a headboard that doubles as a flag display case, with a compartment to honor a folded American flag.
Materials: Utilize rich mahogany or oak to maintain a traditional aesthetic.
🎁 Integrated Jewelry Box
Location: Embed a drawer within the footboard for storing jewelry.
Design: The drawer front features intricate inlays and a velvet-lined interior to protect precious items.
🛠️ Built-in Shop Cart
Functionality: Attach a multifunctional cart to the side of the bed, equipped with drawers and compartments for tools and supplies.
Mobility: Install locking casters for easy movement, allowing the cart to serve as both a bedside table and a mobile workstation.
🎨 Visual Representation
Imagine a majestic bed frame with a flag display case integrated into the headboard. Adjacent to the bed, a sleek jewelry box drawer is seamlessly incorporated into the footboard. Attached to the side, a multifunctional shop cart provides both storage and workspace. The entire ensemble is crafted from high-quality wood, with polished finishes and thoughtful details that blend functionality with elegance.
I hope you get a chuckle from this as I did.
Mike G.
haha nothing is off the table when it comes to GPT's imagination, lol.
The more we get used to using and even joking with GPT, the easier it is to use for our business. Keep up the good work!

Eric, this video inspired me so much, my assistant has truly become my partner in the website. I am even writing a blog for WA about it right now.
Sparky, doesn't remember well from window to window though like you mentioned. I was trying to create some tables for the table saw reviews I am doing. Each time one window got to full we had to start over and it was like trying to reinvent the wheel every time. Then I got smart and saved some of the code and color notes in OneNote. Now I just pop that info into a new window and we are good to go.
Thank you for all the great videos and lessons you put out.
Mike G
Are you in the free version or paid? I’m in the pay version and it remembers across conversations but it could be limiting on the free version.
The paid version for $20 a month.
I think maybe Sparky just drinks too much some days. LOL
