Hello Eric,

I like the start-up sound, Eric!😁

Bravo to the AWOL video, it's amazing what one video can do!

I think sometimes people overcomplicate YouTube.

I agree that momentum is better than perfection. Someone I listen to will often use the phrase , "Start Messy", and "Just press record", he is not wrong.

Thank you for the encouraging video, Eric.

Have a great day.

That’s great advice: just press record!

Another one is, "Your first video is going to be your worst video"! In other words, it will only get better!

For sure, you gotta start somewhere!

Another excellent video, thanks for the encouragement. I was going to go with the whiteboard voiceover idea but this video makes me think my voice would be better, more trustworthy in the long run. I like your concept about delivering value then gently asking for the click. But like you said the more aggressive way seemed to work better. I think an A/B test is in order. 👍

Yeah I think the actual voice connects better with the audience for sure. 💯

Haha! Are you talking with or for me, Eric? :)

I work on building my YouTube channel, shorts with background music and text, but no more than that. This camera monster is scary. It took a lot of time and strength to create and publish the shorts, always wonder if someone will view the shorts.
But, I have to get out of the comfort zone and replace the baby steps with bigger shoes.

Thanks for this video!

That’s what it’s all about! Glad you enjoyed this. 👍🏼

Hey Eric, thanks for the motivation. YouTube is one of the top places for AM, sponsorships, AdSense, and much more. Monetizing in two or more of these ways can really skyrocket your income potential. We run most of our channels faceless, and some with AI, which is very powerful and quick to assemble.

One thing that is extremely important, though, is to have a high-quality microphone, as this is the make-or-break part of your channel's success. Camera, lighting, and green screen can come later, and aren't even applicable to faceless videos.

I would say for someone getting started, if you can use your smartphone’s mic or laptop mic, do it. That’s what I did 👍🏼

Create the video, publish it, start getting views. That’s so important for starters to take that first step.

Obviously, if no one can hear you the video won’t do well, but as long as you’re not muted, get started, get momentum, and then you can start investing in mics, cameras, etc. 👍🏼💯

Excellent points Eric! Wow, that's awesome to see how many views that video got!
I often find quite a few videos on YouTube with the same format. They're just text and a screen recording. Sometimes with a voice over or sometimes not, but they are very helpful for whatever it is I'm trying to figure out how to do. If people find it helpful or interesting, it doesn't matter if there's a face or not.

You're right, nothing is ever perfect! Definitely makes me want to get going on videos more.
Thanks for sharing!

Best wishes :) ~Sherry
