Misconceptions and Opportunity

I recently read an article by Fran Tarketnon. In this article he discusses fears, doubts and misconceptions and more. One part that stood out to me was the misconception that many may have, about how successful people has an inherent trait that allows them not to fear, not to have doubts and the ability to stand up to any challenge without second guessing themselves or even failing. Mr Tarketnon, put this notion to rest with the statement
“It’s not that successful people have some secret gene…The thing that makes them successful is that they choose to deal with reality, tackle their problems, and look for solutions. [They become comfortable with being uncomfortable] and the more you do it, the more comfortable [they] you [will] get.

Everyone has the same fears and doubts; it’s the matter of how one deals with those fears and doubts that can help propel them to the next level of success. There will always be naysayers who want you to doubt yourself, want to tear you down for even trying. They want you to come down to their level instead of rising to the occasion. The reasons for this varies, it may be because of the fear of the unknown, fear of failure, ridicule or the work and sacrifice that may need to be taken in order to succeed.

The actor Ashton Kutcher recently said to a group of kids during an awards ceremony “Opportunity Looks a lot like work”. This statement says it all. I believe we have access to the right training, tools and success to work an opportunity right here at WA. However, no one will work your opportunity for you but you. Work your Opportunity and empower your prosperity.
