Create Your Plan The Right Way.
Sometimes we wonder why we are taking so long to reach our goals. We wake up and see the to do list but yet we don't do any of it. We are uncomfortable with change, so to do something different that would interrupt our scheudules, would require a motive. Looking at the list gives us a headache, so we avoid it by all means. Here are 5 things you can do to change this:
1. Keep the list short. Only write down a few things that you can realistically accomplish that day or week. Even if this is one goal, that's totally fine. This will get you in the habit of simply doing it.
2. Explore what works best for you to keep track of your goals. I have gotten in the habit of utilizing my phone's calendar. HOWEVER, phones can get lost, so I also write things down on my calendar at home. Find what works best for you.
3. Do what is annoying you the most, first. For instance, I have been putting off going to the Dentist so instead of doing that, I end up doing other things to avoid thinking about it, which ultimately makes my anxiety worse. Getting that over with immediately relieved so much stress.
4. Don't try to get all of it done at once. Taking care of your things all at once will not only drive you nuts, but this will become a long-term habit for you. Learning to space things out and getting it done without the hassle, will keep you from feeling frustrated.
5. Easier said than done, I know, but do not procrastinate. If normally you wait the week before vacation to lose weight, then maybe start off by giving yourself at least one month this time. It's unecessary to starve yourself, do one of those juice cleanses, or exercise for 4 hours per day..just for this vacation. Losing weight does take patience and it has to be done the right way. Rushing yourself will only cause harm.
These are some tips that have been helping me. I didn't just wake up one day and make these changes. It did take some time getting used to. Normally I rely on my memory to do things but after implemeting a well thought-out plan for myself, I have realized how much more relaxed I am. I will continue exploring different methods but so far, I am on the right track. Once you take that first step, you will only want to move forward from there.
P.S! Don't be so hard on yourself. =)

Great words to live by. Schedule the things we can control because there will always be bumps in the road.
