Fear only the living
The other day I went to a funeral home for the first time in Spain. I was a little scared but I couldn't help thinking humourously that it was quite an achievement. (I have been in Spain for 16 years and I have never had to go to a morgue before).
So in spite of myself I was looking forward to the event. I told a few people that I was scared of going and as it turns out the Spaniards have a well thought out advice for that. All of them told me ' it is those that are alive that you should fear, not the dead'.
The fact is that they are right. What is your opinion?

Enyaga, I must agree. There is nothing to fear with the dead. The dead (to my knowledge as a medium) have never come back to bring harm or ill intent. I believe it is indeed the living that often cause the ruckus. :) Glad that you went --- perhaps it has opened doors for you to not be afraid to attend any others that come up.
Thanks for your reply my sister. I think that they Spanish people simply mean that once one is dead they are unable to do one any ill as we the living often do without giving it a thought. What about ghosts? Aren't those the dead who literally stay around and don't want to go away?
You are so right - many living do ill without a thought. I would say, yes, on occasion some do stick around. But, only in my experience, I would say that it isn't as often as we think. I do know that they frequently visit and perhaps move things, make noises, etc. I've found in my own practice with helping others that if the activity seems infrequent, it is often a visitation. If I go to a home that there is lots going on everyday and people seem uneasy or afraid, I am more likely to believe there is an uncrossed one lingering around.
