Skipper was anawesome Jack Russell
We have had dozens of pups over the past 75 years, each one with a different personality and character. Skipper was an awesome pup, kind to a fault and always delighted in meeting new people. usually with a toy of shoe in his mouth. Any time we went on cruise on our yacht both he and his sister Scooter were on board, on the bridge comfy on one of the seating areas. But when weather got a bit rough, both would go t lower enclosed aft deck and cuddle up to my wife Betty (Toot). Then again after running at cruise for 6-8 hours, I would throttle down and head into whatever port we were going to. At that point both pups come a running to the bridge to see where we were at. After docking and securing the boat it was time to go ashore and visit areas they were familiar with. Of course, if an ice cream vendor was close by, each one would get a pup cup. Be it Breakfast, lunch or dinner both got the same dog food and very little if any table pieces. Bedtime was always Scooter with Mom and Skipper with me. Those were some terrific trips, every year for ten years. Now its camping with our trailer. I will post more about this in coming months.
