Free traffic! - but is it worth it?
There are so many free ways to get free traffic on the internet, not necessarily organic traffic but at least its free right? LOL
My son had recently been using a traffic exchange called Traffic Ad Bar. He had to visit other members sites first before getting visits to his siteand these are the things he has concluded:
- You do get some decent traffic as a free member but after a lot of work.
This was the amount of traffic he received to his site after looking at 50 other websites! Imagine that, you view 50 websites and you only get 4 people coming to yours, yeah no thanks.
- The traffic is low quality and that means you will barely get any sort of conversions (if ever) because the aim of everyone else on that traffic exchange is to get as much traffic as they can. No one on there is looking to buy anything or sign up for any sort of platform.
- Like I said above, the traffic is not organic. It is called referral traffic.
- As soon as you stop surfing (looking at other websites on the network) you will no longer be receiving any traffic to your website as well. You will see a steep nose dive in your google analytics.
Please take note that he was a free member on the platform so maybe the paid membership can do better.
If you are looking for referrals to your WA and conversions you are better off going through the training here at WA.
I am not a fan of traffic exchange websites to begin with so I wouldn't even think of joining one. I would rather stick to the training we get here at WEALTHY AFFILIATE, work hard and be patient. One day I will celebrate with you guys!
But hey, if you are really desperate then maybe you should look for one to try out for yourself, I am merely just another opinion. Cheers.

While organic traffic is the best way, it all depends what you are trying to do. There digital product sources out there taking a chunk of this approach. Most people are finding the SEO ranking way too hard to do and considered it a snail move. It is why they would turn to other method of traffic for their exposure. I truly think that if you have a product to sell fast, social media, referral, and other traffic means, is the way to go. If you are relying on just blogging with no products to sell, then organic traffic would benefit you the most. It's just my take, on a business perspective. Thanks for the info friend. All the best!
Yes social media and refferals are all good sources of traffic. We must just push everything whilst waiting for organic traffic. Thanks
I agree with You - push and use all sources of traffic is IMO best way- I do pretty much everything - I am even about to start getting into offline marketing with business cards through starting a local slideshow business - aswell as contacting local business’s VIA Google Maps to find problems they may have for a lack of web presence that I may could help improve on. Best thing about going local is the trust factor is much easier since it can be in person
Hi Energy, I have tried both paid and free traffic methods and they never worked out for me.

Is that so. I thought the paid one would be better. I guess its not worth the effort then..Thanks
Hi Energy, only the ones that cost too much money for traffic work. Keep blogging and building up your website, this way you will generate traffic.
Michael
Traffic exchange bars ae not worth your time. The reason for that is they are not looking for the info you provide, but collecting credits to advertise their website. In short ,those people are for the wrong reasons at our website That is not what we are looking for ,we look for people that likely want to engage (or read) what we have to say.
@lucbizz. Sure we need to focus on organic traffic. Just got to stir the nest once in a while. Thanks

Yeah, those types of sites are always poor quality.
You want to show Google a profile of the people you want to attract to your site by targeting & attracting those kinds of people. The people visiting your site as a result of this activity are often from 3rd world countries, being paid a pittance for doing this work.
Stay far away from this. Free, in this case, will ultimately cost you a lot!
