Hi, am having a trouble solving this issue of duplicate blog title in my blog posts. My post appear weired when I share them on social networks and also on browser title bars.<

Hi, have you tried this?

Yes Gary, I did disable Rewrite Title. The result was a post title appended with Site Title without even a space between them.

I somewhat feel that, my %post_name% is returning a string with Post Title appended with Site Title i.e something like echo $postname.$sitetitle

Because I tried to tweak the Post Title Format in SEO Title Settings from %post_name% - %blog_title% to just %post_name%. This then gave me a post title appended with a site name still. But without a seperator (-)

So, this makes me feel that, the %postname% alone has a site title appended to it already, that is why I have duplicate site names in my post titles when I share them, viewed on browser title bar or when indexed by google.

Go to WP dashboard - All in One SEO - General Settings - Home Page Settings. See if the Home Title written twice.

Another way is, WP dashboard - Settings - General. See if the Site Title written twice.

That's all I could think of. Hope this helps =)

I just checked both Home Page Settings in All in one SEO and Site Title but not is written twice however.

Thanks

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure the others will be able to help solve your problem.

When I write a post titled Wealthy Affiliate Review. Google will show this title as "Wealthy Affiliate Review I AM EARNING ONLINE - I AM EARNING ONLINE".
I am earning online is the name of my site, this is how it appears for all posts. Even in the browser title, you see the same.

Hello, I am running on a data plan currently so I would like someone to help me on how I can stop videos on WA from pre-loading because they are taking more data yet some of the

Sorry out of my depth on this one.

The answer is Opera browser, I chose to use Opera now because it doesn't pre-load videos and I have my problems solved. Thanks nfoster for helping me with solutions, I appreciate your kind support.

good article covering each browser type http://www.pcworld.com/article/2858421/how-to-stop-autoplay-videos.html

Thanks nfoster, but that one only works for flash videos, here at WA I think we have HTML5 not flash

Thanks nfoster once again, but that doesn't work either. That works if videos start playing on page load however this case is that videos pre-load weather you will play them or not. Hence consuming unnecessary bandwidth.

understood, what I see from the developer community is that it is a HTML setting that the site owner needs to set for each video using the preload attribute, http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_video.asp

Unless WA do this, I am not sure you can do anything from your side. Sorry I cannot help anymore on this.

If you feel strongly you could PM Kyle or Carson
