At Last!

Well folks, I finally, finally turned off the coming soon page on my website. I joined wealthy affiliate almost a month ago, and I wish I could say it's taken so long because I was just so busy making it awesome, but, well...

One thing I've learned is to focus in and get the work done! There's no time for misplaced perfectionism. I've suffered so much writer's block this month. The theme was ready, but getting the content onto the page has proven difficult! I spent nearly three weeks worrying about what to write, how to write it, if it was going to be good enough (note the 'going to be'; this was all being applied to imaginary writing, lol). I lost hours googling ideas for posts, got distracted surfing for images I didn't need, you get the idea.

In other words, I put in the time but nothing really happened.

Then, just three days ago, I found that switch in my brain, the one that Kyle reiterates in his training. The one that says 'It doesn't have to be perfect, just get started and see what happens. You can always throw it out if you don't like it.'

So I threw out a bunch of stuff I wasn't happy with and just sat down and wrote. I came up with three new posts in three days, and I feel no compulsion to throw them out. They aren't perfect, but they aren't bad! So I'm going with this new method--the Just Write It method--from now on.

It's funny because I do that when I do creative writing. I guess non fiction represents more pressure for me, maybe because I'm actually trying to make money ;)

Anyway, I've also gotten loads of help here in the community over this past month, so thanks to everyone for being so awesome :)

Now that the site is up, I'm looking forward to getting my posts out at a higher rate, hopefully 2-4 per week depending on the week.
