I Just Lost A Good Commission :(

I Just Sold A Big Ticket Item For One Of The Brands I Heavily Promote....

I got an email last week (with no warning or explanation) saying my commission for this brand on ShareaSale had been cut from 5% to 0%.

This is a brand who last year invited all their affiliates to join them on the Impact platform instead, so I get commissions through Impact as well. I'd been meaning to consolidate all my links onto one platform (Impact, since they'd indicated that was their preferred platform) and when I got the email last week I scrambled to change all my links from ShareaSale links to Impact links.

I've obviously missed one or two on the way, because I just generated a sale through a ShareaSale link, and so I get zero commission. Feeling pretty gutted about that. Especially since this is a brand who is still advertising a "group" commission of 5% on ShareaSale but my "personal" commission was cut and I don't know why.

This is a brand I regularly generate sales for, so it's not like I've not been active for them.

Just feeling a bit disappointed and wanted to vent! I've done a few positive posts lately, but this is a bit of a grumpy one.

I've messaged them via ShareaSale to see what the story is, but not holding out much hope of getting my commission for this sale.

Oh well, I guess the lesson is I should have been more thorough when I was changing all my links to Impact.

UPDATE: The brand got back to me, explaining that all that has happened is that they are indeed migrating everything to Impact and they'd been having trouble contacting all their affiliates. They were very apologetic and helpful. They've processed my commission and it appeared over on my Impact account within the hour. Feeling relieved!

Thanks Suzi, I hope they sort it! I sure won't quit, I've got a lot of positive stuff happening with my website and I just need to focus on that instead.
