I have few sites which I don't want anymore and the domains will expire soon. Thing is that I have some valuable content there and I don't want to loose it so what should I do?
Yeah, right? I don't seem to find any "lesson" about this. Or I didn't look well enough. I think I read somewhere that the new domain owners can use your content or something like this, don't remember well. Maybe I misunderstood

What happens with the content when a domain expires?
I have few sites which I don't want anymore and the domains will expire soon. Thing is that I have some valuable content there and I don't want to loose it so what should I do?
Emanda, I was wondering about this too. And it seems that your files expire with your domain too, which is good to know. But, I don't see any reason why you can't delete the posts just before the domain expires if you want to as well.
If you want the blog posts, perhaps copy/save them and then create a new blog post with them on your new site? Even if you use the same blog post title, the post url's will be different from your old site as they will be indexed to your new site domain.
Can you let me know how you solved this, I'd be interested in knowing. Thanks, Annie.
I did exactly what you said. Save the posts in my computer and then delete everything from the website. Because if u leave them, anybody can go to "expired websites" and take your content. And of course post them to their blogs

Hi Emma - opening up your website like this is possible, but maybe not recommended. You could get hundreds of bots spamming it from the minute you make it live.
I would suggest maybe adding a link where people can email you content - or adding a forum so people can post ideas. There are various plugins for this, eg. http://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/
