The Next Chapter
I love new things. More specifically, I love learning how to do new things, especially those connected to computer software and the internet. Give me a new app on my Android, and I will have it sliced and diced in no time, either keeping or discarding. I love photography software, not because I love to take pictures, which I enjoy, however my true passion is editing and dressing up those photos!
Quite a few years ago, (20 years, to be exact), I was wandering a Sears store and saw my first personal computer sitting on display. I had not even heard about the internet yet, I was in the middle of raising my children and a stay at home mom, and totally oblivious, I suppose, to the profound changes that were happening in the world. I saw the PC..read a blip on the advertisement about it connecting to the internet..and I recall literally standing there with my chin dropped for at least three minutes. I had this feeling that I was seeing my destiny and now the whole world had suddenly dropped in my lap. Really.
I had to have a computer, and returned home with it a couple of weeks later. I had to call tech support for assistance, and had discovered my first calling in the internet world - I wanted the person on the phone's job!
Three years later I returned to school and started business training and learning how to work more with computers. Providence stepped in and a new company opened a call center for internet tech support nearby. I was hired and moved up rapidly.
Many changes in my life and years later, I find myself now beginning an online presence and studying how to make it profitable.This will take advantage of my software skills, marketing skills, creativity skills. All my paths have led to here. Let it begin!
