Is the Site Comments Platform worth the Effort?

Is the Site Comments Platform worth the Effort?

As a newcomer, It has all been quite overwhelming to learn so much in a short period . It is a bit of information overload but I was still pushing to complete the training in a month.

I have not succeeded, primarily because of all the content I have to write. And then it is hard to know if it is good enough to be ranked! This is where Site Comments comes in.

I didn't "get" site comments at all at first. I followed the training but I wasn't clear...I guess i didn't see the value in it. tThat is until Cathy at WA rejected my comments (and I am very grateful she did)! I wasn't angry...just upset.

Did I say the wrong thing? Or submit it the wrong way? What did she mean in her explanation that I offered feedback not comments?? So I started to investigatethe meaning of feedback and comments via the WA knowledge base.

The Big Search

The WA training for gaining online entrepreneur expertise is excellent. The step by step method is a fantastic way to show progression through the tens of lessons and walk you through creating your online presence.

But the sheer volume that is explained there is the very reason that we DON'T get all the detail. If there is too much technical information before you see the WHOLE overview, you might lose heart, especially if you aren't a techy!

Again, this is where site comments and site feedback can help. And thanks to the community Cathy, I understand the difference now. Sometimes when the training isn't sticking the connection with the community and their blogs opens up more information and understanding of different concepts. Note - it came from the community who alerted me , not the training! (With the help of some "homework" of reading!)

Comments Vs Feedback

Now this is for us newbies: - experienced WA members can weigh-in please to add knowledge - as you guys know this already.)

In a nutshell, comments help increase your websites rank. Feedback helps improve content quality. Did I get that right? Because if I did ...thats a BIG wisdom nugget that gets overlooked by some of us newbies.

By getting comments on your website, you build the very important social engagement which increases the google value of your website and therefore its rank.In case of site feedback, you have your content critiqued so that you can improve how you write andhow you can improve layout.

So Comment Away...

My conclusion is to use the site comments platform a lot more. Selfishly - to get more comments on my website. Unselfishly - to help others get more comments on their websites. I also like to learn new stuff and when I read the websites from others I learn so much!! I also love the fact that the whole comments platform is monitored!

Take advantage of this wonderful resource!
