I have lost my way!

Okay so here is the thing I took my foot off the peddle about 6-8 months ago and am now at a loss for how to restart??? Not the work itself but my passion, my motivation, my writing learning awesome mojo! I really am pleased and proud of the websites that I have created so far! Especially my Lupus one which I did not monetize at all, it has been getting reasonable traffic and I think I need to perhaps rethink it being a non profit website as I could really do with making some money somewhere!

I think I went wrong by diversifying myself too far - 3 websites to manage and write for was an overstretch. With my medical condition and how it has affected me in the last 6 months it has been impossible to think clearly and hence work effectively!

WA family please give me any guidance, help or tips in how I can refocus and get back into all of this! I need to earn from my work but I love to write too! Lost and adrift currently! Help!

With kindest regards to you all, Elinor 😃

Finding your way back is a bit tough.

When I am out of the routine a few days it takes a bit to get rolling again.

The thing that pulls me forward is having a written plan. I do get off of it a lot, but gives me a way to restart. I just grab a sheet of paper, date it and began to do a brain dump.

See what is troubling me. Compare it to the master list of jobs needing doing doing.

Other times it takes cleaning the house or something physical.

Hang in there. You will be back on track.

Hiya Sami,

I am such a fan of lists and writing things down and for actually moving forward maybe a brain dump is the way to go! Free up what's lurking around up there and deal with my distractions. Jumping back in with a list to follow will help me stay on track!

I am such a routine person that I think this is why I have been struggling. Time to create a schedule and stick to it!

Thank you for giving me your opinion and helping to guide me it is much appreciated! Good luck yourself - I hope you are finding success here at WA!

Hello, IMO you should choose the site you are most passionate about and work only on that one until it is up and running and earning an income for you.
I made the mistake of having too many site in the early days and so none of them really made the grade.
Don't stay lost and adrift - why not pop into Live Chat and see if someone there can boost you - it's what I always do (I think they see me coming now and run for the hills!)
Good luck
Jackie

Thank you Jackiex4 that is really sound advice and I think that I have been naturally coming to that conclusion myself.
I suppose the way that I looked at it in the early days was a site for expressing myself and helping others regarding my illness and then a site for earning an income. I then also added a site for my hobby which is knitting! There was no way that I was realistically going to keep up with it all plus then studying the modules on WA too.
Thank you for taking the time out to reply - wishing you well and hoping that your own creations have been fruitful!
Elinor :-)
