Last year, Sir David Attenborough's epic series Blue Planet II series was watched by 14 million viewers. It showed us that up to 127 million tons of plastic enters the ocean every year, killing over one million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals.
As a result, in January the search term 'HOW TO REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE' was up 500%. The government (UK) have a 25 - year plan to eliminate all 'avoidable' plastic waste by 2042 - they will be changing local planning rules to boost biodiversity, offering more protection of coastal areas, and encouraging plastic - free supermarket aisles
What others are doing
WHITBREAD - will provide free drinking water in each of its 3,000 Costa coffee shops.
UNILEVER - the company behind the brands like Knorr, Domestos, Dove, Flora, Lynx, Persil etc, will make its plastic packaging 100% reusable, recyclable or compo-stable by 2025.
ICELAND - the supermarket chain is the first in the world to remove plastic packaging from all its 1.400 own-label products.
So its up to all of us to help save the planet, and what a good NICHE for those interested in 'HOW TO REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE'

Interesting Mike, this is actually not actualised, otherwise people would have been using it. Can it be 'fake news' Trump refers to always.?
This was out there before Trump but then so were driverless cars and there's too much invested in the status quo!
I understand electric cars , driver-less or not is actually good for the planet, as the emission is a lot lower. The problem Mike is too many issues are contending with few resources. What a pity.
