How to Fix: Sharing your post with facebook shows the wrong image

Problem:

I finished writing a review post, wanted to share it with facebook. Suddenly, the image connected with the post for sharing to facebook, shows the website's header image, instead of the featured image of my post.

Solution:

I tried downloading a plugin called "Facebook Thumb Fixer", with the description that aims exactly to fix my problem ("posting to facebook shows the wrong image instead of the featured image .." etc)

It had High rating so I assumed this must work, but it didn't work for me (might work for you! so try it).

However, I found a valuable information inside the plugin's setting, it said, if the plugin didn't fix the problem, try the facebook debugger page, follow the link here:

Enter the URL of your post, and then click on "Debug"

It will show exactly how the post is getting shared on facbeook, including what image is being used.

All I did to fix this is, I clicked on "Scrape Again" , then refresh the page, or, exit and enter the page again and insert the URL of the post again and click "Debug", and the new image should appear.

That worked for me, I hope it works for you, as it is really frustrating to not be able to share your post the way it's supposed to be shared, with the write image and title.
