'Saving' Time

Have you felt that you are losing time?

Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, made a lot of devices of which people call that 'saved time' for people around the world. However, did those creations 'save' time to people? ?For most, these computerized objects steal time. Instead of spending time with the family, every member might be found facing their iPhones, tabs, desktops, and laptops. Once an hour was lost then it can't be retrieved. You may 'save' time by cutting losses of time with speedy jobs but you can never save(as savings in a bank) it and take it out once needed.

We are busy working hard to build our websites and thought of "I'll try to make as much content as I can." Unknowingly, you might neglect your family, most of all, your children. They might be at your side waiting for you to be done with a content for their homework or for a game or just for spending time together.

Your spouse might be asking a date or just for some romantic bickerings on the bed but you shun your partner by saying you're busy and need to finish it soon right away. That would leave your partner to miss you more. You might be near physically but far mentally and emotionally.

Your parents might just be waiting for your call or visit but you kep on saying, "I need to finish this now so I can earn fast."

I heard myself saying this to my daughter one time and I stopped. I realized I was spending less time with them.

Is this common to you? Have you been doing this?

If not, then good for you. Somehow, if you are, give some time to think. Remember, lost time can't be paid by any amount or tries. When the kids have grown up, they have the tendency to spend more time with friends, not with father or mother.

Spouses tend to lose patience and might find another partner to talk to and that could lead to temptation if the person is of another gender.

Old parents time won't last much. There will always be a time to meet their Creator.

The worst thing that could ever happen as well is that you might not be giving time for yourself. That will lead you to get burned up and give up.

Let us remind ourselves that what's lost time will be lost forever. Give yourself a little favor, organize your time schedule. Write a schedule for your work or writing contents and spend some time, an hour or two maybe, to talk or just bond with each one of the family everyday.

A date with your daughter today, then with your son tomorrow, and with your spouse tonight. Spend a weekend dinner with mom and dad. Talk anything under the sun, about school, friends, their work, problems, or just anything unusual or funny. You will end up sharing your hearts and building the relationship more. I spent time singing with my kids and ended talking about struggles and how to overcome them sometimes.

My husband and I talked about some issues and ended laughing with some nonesense things. That's a good nerve reliever.

Give time not save, for time would always run ahead of you.

Well it's all about prioritizing your time, whats important to you?, money or family .

Today we have so many things to save time we have furnaces that turn on automatically when it gets cold and maybe even an air conditioner that turns on when it's too hot .
We turn on a tap and hot water comes out and its automatic also !
We can pay our bill's and deposit cheques with our smart phones .
So when I was a little boy and I wanted to have heat or hot water I had to go to the basement chop up some wood put it in a pot bellied stove and I would get scalding hot water in about an hour or less and the heat was the same chop wood and burn it or add coal or sawdust and get heat.
This was our priority, and we had to get in a bus or car go to the bank line up and deposit our money or pay our bill's.
The young people today didn't experience this and don't realize how much time they are saving and I will be 68 this December, hard to believe a lot of people say I look 45 thank you and I like to stay young at heart .
So pretend you have to chop some wood for heat or hot water or go to the bank and spend that time with your loved ones and count your lucky stars we are living the good life !
Also now we can run a profitable from the comfort of our own homes ! All the best !!!

That's a good thing to hear, friend. You're in the age that your focus and priorities are now on yourselves. I'm happy to hear from you on how you were able to save time. I think I would be doing the same thing when I reach your age and without any other obligations.

Enjoy your profitable days.

Yes it make sense. You make time to do what must be done.

You're welcome, Cass.

That's so true! I feel like something I'm not spending as much as time as I would like with my kids and wife. However, it is all temporary. I'm figuring out WA to the best of my abilities and eventually I will make decisions about my time.

Nice Post!

Just make sure that the temporary won't take too long. Spend little snippets of time hugging, a little tickle or two, just some laughs at dinner time would also count as giving time with them.

Thanks for the complement.

Time is a precious resource. We all need to know what is important in life (to you personally). Hug your family and tell them you love them- you will never regret it.

Yes. You make your own time!
