Goals for Today: Get as Much Done with School Closed

After a successful day yesterday, I am now up and running with my website. All that is needed is to finish up the rest of the Getting Started Courses, which I am currently on lesson 7, and apply them as I go.

This might be a bit trickier today, as of location to where I live right in between mountains and a school district that closes for any reason they can think of. While my goal is to finish up one to two courses today, my darling children could possibly make this more difficult today.

There are some things that I have found that have helped when school is out though

1. If they are old enough, let them play by themselves for awhile
2. Take breaks to spend time with the kids
3. It's OK to use the television as a babysitter to disappear to get something done
4. If another adult is home, have them help with the kids
5. For younger kids, be a parent first and do what you can in what spare moments you can find

I've had to find out all of this the hard way with freelance writing and staying at home, but have managed fairly well. Not all what I normally want to get done will be accomplished, which is understandable with a child at home. Any progress is good in my eyes.
