Tough Times for E
It's Been A Ride
Hello my extended family, I hope all is well with you. I understand many of you were wondering and concerned about me in my recent absence.
All Apologies
To those who claim that apologizing makes one weak - BUG OFF! 'Tis not true nor righteous.
I owe you all an apology for not letting you know what was going on when I dropped of the face of WA (and the rest of) Earth. I'm deeply sorry.
On With It Then
No tale is a good tale unless you get the real dirt so here goes ...
Some of you may already know that last year (in February) I was in an automobile accident in which my car was struck by an 18 wheeler. As a result I had my neck rebuilt in July, cadaver graft, plate and screws.
It's been a long painful healing process (pretend Kyle is saying 'process' as it sounds way better with his accent than it does with mine) and I've had some complications or side effects of the surgery.
Those side effects became debilitating just after Christmas and as much as I fought and struggled I just couldn't function in much capacity other than going to physical therapy.
I know it's not a glamorous story and I know I could have and should have dropped you all a line, a quick blog, to let you know why I went from several dozen posts a day to none. I know that now though I could not comprehend that then - not an excuse.
You're All Great People!
I don't know what I'd do without you. I did see some blogs and posts concerning my whereabouts and genuine concern from many of you, thank you. Again, I am sorry to have put you through this.
I'm Not OK
Speaking in lyrical terms, as MCR wrote, I'm Not OK. And yes I am not OK yet. I do have a ways to go but I will be sure to keep you informed (ahead of time this time).
I do ask for your patience as I comb through the hundreds of notifications I have to follow up on though I did respond to my PM's.
Until ...
ROCK ON!

Thank you for the update, Eric. I was starting to wonder what had happened to you.
I hope you get better soon, and can rock on some more in the future :-)
All the best,
Marcus.
Thank you Doug. I keep looking at this as a "stint" and hope for the most part it is. I won't walk away 100% but I'd like to keep the good percentages. :-)
Hey Eric. So good to hear from you and I hope you are feeling better. Been missing the "rock on" at the end of your comments. :) Praying for you!
wishing you well...hope you have access to low light laser therapy.. here is my first post about it and it explains how it works... I will never be with out one now... may you heal quickly! http://moredogsmorefun.com/the-truth-about-low-laser-therapy
Hi Eric,
So sorry to hear about your accident and what you've been dealing with. I can truly feel some of your pain as I struggle with chronic neck and back problems. As a matter of fact, I'm leaving in about 15 minutes for therapy. And when you are in pain, it is really hard to give time to almost any pursuit, WA included, unfortunately. It's just hard for me, anyway, to get in that mindset. I have a lot of ups and downs and find it frustrating not to be able to do all that my mind wants to do. So, take care and try to remain positive. I certainly wish you well and that you'll see improvement every day and feel like doing those things you want to do.

Thank you Diana.
Yes the pain is severe at times and incapacitating at others. As I am healing I have something (bone of metal) digging into my nerve bundle in my cervical spine and I can relate it to no other pain I've encountered. It's horrible. The drugs don't work either and only have side effects of their own. I savor every good moment and hold on tight through the bad ones.
What a timely post from you. I was about to send you an email to make sure everything was ok. Sorry to hear all that you are going through, but your recovery is the most important thing right now.
Now that's something isn't it Tanja ... we must be on the same plane at this time. I haven't gotten to email yet but hope to soon. If it is something important PM me here in WA and I will check my email straight away.
Thank you for the kind words. I look forward to chatting with you more.
